Alexander McQueen Frame

Picture%2019.png

Alexander McQueen really has it going on! I absolutely need this bag, it is chic and classic with a bit of fun. It looks like a vintage frame bag with the slightly distressed mcqueen_frame_taupe.pngleather and pleating but the balloon shape, hardware and way the handles are attached make it modern and young. This bag is ultra versatile even though it is pretty big, 17″ x 14.5″ x 4″ deep, but the style can handle any night scene (as long as it is not the dance floor). It can also dress up with a sleek lady-like dress or get down and dirty with jeans. This will be one of those stand out pieces that people remember you by! Also available in a taupey brown but I hate it, it is a tired old useless color for me and totally ruins the coolness of the bag. At Matches Fashion for $1570.

  1. Every few days you post photos of a “must-have” bag for me, but this one takes the cake. How many ways can I tell you I love that black bag? Good find Kelly. xox

  2. I’ve been considering buying this in black for a couple of weeks but I’m not sure about the size, is it huge? I need to see it being held by a model to get some idea of the actual size!17″ sounds pretty big!

  3. I’m, admittedly, a sucker for anything McQueen, but this is very nice. I like that he’s managed to crack the handbag market (anything that helps keep him in business is a good thing…and I know the Gucci group gave him and McCartney the turn-a-profit-or-else shpiel a while ago) without being obnoxious about it. No giant logos and hideous bags.

  4. I am hurt and upset that you did not post my butt crack comment, since that’s exactly what it looks like…especially the brown one. And look, how ironic that Christina said “managed to CRACK the handbag market.”

  5. every day that i check out bagsnob I kinda scroll down to this beauty…it just grows on you, from one day to another. I imagine my superstylish gran would have one like that back in the sixties, and me trotting around with it now, having knicked it from her closet…ahh deamzzz:)

it’s classic and modern, such a gem!!!
