Tessa Mary Jane ($40) & Boy LTT Oxford ($40)

Dangerous as it may be, I am transitioning my love of shoes to my daughter. Morgan & Milo will be staple in my kids’ closets from now until they grow out of them. I think of them as a funky, fun, and upscale converse shoes. Born from the desire to provide parents an alternative to high-priced European styles or inexpensive character-driven shoes, they are extremely functional and stylish. Usually in a kids shoe you can get one or the other, but it is next to impossible to find both: the tennis shoes too sporty and the dressy shoes too nice. Morgan & Milo combines colors and fabrics that keep a traditional tone while adding modern flair. But enough about the looks, you can decide for yourself. My love comes with the fit. My daughter has an extremely wide foot. Tennis shoes never have long enough laces. Mary Janes cut her foot in half. Ballet flats make her foot bubble over the top. Flip Flops don’t even make it past her toes. Sandals forget about it. Are you frustrated yet?? As you can imagine, there is not much left in the kids department at this point. I was delighted to find that Morgan & Milo solved all of the problems. The mary janes don’t leave a mark and I can max out the width of the tennis shoe and still have plenty leftover laces to tie a bow. With a great fit and cute style, I would have paid a fortune, but at around $40 a pair these shoes don’t put a huge dent in my wallet. My daughter currently owns three pair. My son is too little for them, but I can’t wait to get him his first pair of LTT Oxfords (above). Available at Morgan & Milo.
