Christopher unbuckled himself from his bed to help but Christina made him go back to bed before he was caught out of bed without permission.

In the film’s most notorious scene, Joan stalks into Christina’s bedroom in the middle of the night, her face covered with white beauty cream, and discovers one of the child’s dresses hanging on a wire hanger. Joan instantly becomes furious and launches into a frightening tirade, screaming at the girl that she had forbidden wire hangers, viciously tearing apart her closet, and then beating the girl with the hanger, yelling “NO WIRE HANGERS, EVER!!!!”
