There are so many yummy things this Fall from Ralph. My favorite is the Monaco convertible clutch (below), it’s an oversized clutch (12″x8″) with detachable strap that turns it into a chic shoulder bag. The silver python ($2,895) is amazing and I find myself mesmerized by the deliciously rich purple suede version ($1,195), too!
There are also box clutches in sumptuous crocodile and python as well as a new crocodile bag called “The Bedford”. Jump for more details!
The oversized Monaco convertible clutch/shoulder bag is going to be my new obsession, the flap with iconic cooper hardware is incredibly stylish and functional. All Monaco clutches come with a removable strap that converts it into a shoulder bag, there are little loops under the flap that you slip the strap into, brilliant! It’s like getting two bags in one! It comes in purple, red and green suede ($1,195) or silver, black and natural python ($2,895).
Here is what it looks like with the strap in place in leopard printed calf hair ($1,695). I may get this leopard clutch and forget the leopard coat! This is a fabulous way to spice up a little black dress! 12″ x 8″

The Ricky clutch in black crocodile is gorgeous! It has all the hardware details of the Ricky bag, without the straps. The crocodile is superb and in silver rhodium hardware, it is a stunner! A bit pricey at $10,995 but it’s also huge, about 14″ x 8″.

So I adore the purple Ricky above…how come other Ricky’s unlike your white croc ricky doesn’t have the hardware strip at the top of the bag or is this just my eyes not spotting it?!
I would like to try and contribute to your event do they have the Ricky wallet clutch in the purple or pink?!
Also what colours do they have the puff rick or ricky bag in anymore limited or unusual colours?! And which size would be best?

As for balancing work, it’s becoming increasingly difficult. I only work in the mornings when my son is at school and at night after he sleeps. During the day, after I pick him from school, we go to the park, wiggly center and other activities that he enjoys. I then make dinner around 5pm 3-4 nights a week so I can feed him and my hubby and get him off to bed by 8:30pm. I work for a few hours after that.
My hubby and I have date nights and are good about spending time together on the weekends, luckily he is very understanding about my busy schedule!!! He doesn’t mind being Mr. Mom (with nanny help) when I have to travel.
I never traveled without my son until this year, and still do not like to leave him. But now that he’s in school, I have no choice! Our rule at home is one of us is always at home. My hubby and I have never taken a trip together without our son 🙂

I think its great that you do so much…I’m sure its tiring but you obviously have a very supportive hubby that is fantastic and often very rare! Its so important to do something that you love but also to give back when your so lucky!

Tina, Dana has been fantastic to me, with all her help…but I have a dilema…and need your advice and expertise! This would be my very first croc, so albeit I love the purple I don’t know whether to just opt for the Ricky Clutch Wallet…or shall I go for the smaller 27 Ricky?! (Dana said this is very small and maybe not as fuinctional as the 33..how come you opted for the 33 as I know you don’t usually do big bags!?)
So hard…I want something that says wow like your white ricky but also not a colour that I may hate in month or so?! As your white was a special with extra hardware, do you think they will do more limited colours in the coming season, or do they only offer these to special clients like yourself…I did ask Dana but she didn’t answer this question so I didn’t like to push, as she had already done above and beyond for me!
Thanks for any advice in advance. I will eventually make my decision, I’m a pain I know but Im just working from pictures so I want to be certain!

I chose size 33cm because in crocodile, I feel it should make a statement. My smaller 25cm bags are leather or lizard (which only comes in 25cm).
The purple is really pretty in person and I wish I got this instead of white. My white one gets dirty really easily and it’s not as transitional as this one. I won’t be using it as much in the winter whereas the purple will be perfect all year round. Judging from spring runways, purple is here to stay, it’s not a trend.
I don’t think you will get tired of the purple, because it is not bright nor flashy. It is a beautiful hue with the silver rhodium hardware which I wish I had– I tried changing my gold to silver but not sure how I can do that. Also, it has the exact same hardware as my white croc, so I am not sure what you mean by limited edition hardware?
Lastly, the price is, as you know, fantastic. I saw in the UK a croc ricky is double than here. I believe it’s around 8,000 pounds if you buy it from Dana but around 15,000 pounds if you buy it in Europe!!!
And remember, it is Hermes crocodile. The Hermes owned crocodile tannery emailed me and told me Ralph Lauren only uses Hermes skins on his bags!

I have tried to explain this a couple of times an you haven’t quite understood what I was trying to say or ask sometimes my words don’t come out right…so here goes
At the top of your Ricky bag where the flap is fused together to join the back of your bag (between your two handles….nothing to do with the straps as you had thought I said in prevoious posts) you have a shiny metal strip of hardware whereas all the other Ricky bags its just the croc material fused together? If you look at the ricky clutch in Black that you posted above you can see the shiny hardware strip running along the top of the bag, and I thought yours had one too? I do love the clucth but so pricey compared to the full bag you can purchase for only a little more!
