Yoogi’s Closet – A Lesson on Spotting Fakes

If you want to know about spotting fakes, go to Yoogi’s Closet because they put money on making sure the bags they get are real.

We know that shopping for pre-owned luxury items isn’t easy and nothing will ruin your day faster than finding out that the handbag you bought on an auction or classifieds website turns out to be a replica.

We guarantee the authenticity of every item we sell or 100% of your money back including original and return shipping costs.

Only 100% authentic bags earn the tag!

We’re experts in distinguishing the “wanna-bes” from the “real deal.” Whether it’s a handbag or necklace, determining the authenticity of an item is a mix of art and science. Items such as stampings, symmetry, stitching, hardware, authenticity stamps, as well as overall workmanship and materials are inspected and determined to be consistent with the manufacturer’s established standards of quality. If applicable, manufacturer date codes and serial numbers are verified for consistency. Lastly, the item is compared to on-hand authentic reference items.

Chanel Authentication Guide & Serial Codes

Authentic Chanel handbags from the mid 1980s on come with authenticity cards embossed with a serial number (pictured on right). The serial number matches the serial number appearing on a sticker placed somewhere within the handbag’s interior lining. The serial number sticker has Chanel logos and was protected by a clear tape with hologram security feature from approximately 2000-on. The sticker, Chanel logo, and hologram design varied with the manufacturing date (see chart below).

Note that over time, serial number stickers may become detached from handbags. Authentication cards also often become lost. Therefore, Chanel handbags missing these items may still be authentic. Find out more about this iconic brand in our Chanel Information Guide.

Louis Vuitton Authentication Guide & Date Codes

Contrary to popular belief, Louis Vuitton handbags (excluding luggage and rare limited edition pieces) do not have serial numbers. Rather, Louis Vuitton handbags have “date codes” stamped either on interior tags or directly on the interior linings. These date codes simply serve to identify the manufacturing location and date for a Louis Vuitton handbag, not to verify it’s authenticity. With the exception of early handbags (early 1980s and older), date codes can be found on all Louis Vuitton handbags and other items made by the luxury brand (e.g. sunglasses).

Most date codes are a combination of letters and numbers. The letters indicated the country in which the item was made while the numbers indicate the month/year of the production date. The format of the date codes are as follows:

  • Prior to early 1980s. No date codes.
  • Early 1980s. Three or four numbers with the first two numbers representing the year and last number(s) representing the month. E.g. “836” would indicate a manufacturing date of June, 1983.
  • Early to late 1980s. Three or four numbers followed by two letters with the first two numbers representing the year, the next number(s) representing the month and the last two letters representing the country (see right sidebar for factory location codes). E.g. “874VX” would indicate a manufacturing date of April, 1987 and factory location in France. Late in the 1980s, the letters representing the factory location came before the three or four numbers representing the manufacturing date.
  • 1990 to 2006. Two letters followed by four numbers with the first two letters representing the factory location, the first and third numbers representing the month and the second and forth numbers representing the year. For example, “VI1025” would indicate a factory location in France and a manufacturing date of December, 2005.
  • 2007 and newer. Two letters followed by four numbers with the first two letters representing the factory location, the first and third numbers representing the week of the year, and the second and forth numbers representing the year. For example, “SD2057” would indicate a factory location of USA and a manufacturing date of the 25 week (or May) of 2007

Keep in mind that the fact that an item has a date code does not guarantee that it’s authentic since many counterfeit items have date codes. A valid and properly stamped date code is just one of many parameters that are checked to guarantee the authenticity of a Louis Vuitton handbag.

Authentic Handbags with No Date Code?

Authentic Louis Vuitton handbags with alcantara linings may have date codes that are very hard to read or have disappeared altogether. This is sometimes the case for older bags or if the bags have had their linings cleaned.  Find out more about this historical brand in our Louis Vuitton Information Guide.

  1. I might be out of subject here but still thought it’s worth sharing.

A few years ago I ‘ve read an article either on British Vogue or The Times cannot exactly recall that authentic Luis Vuiton bags never cut the monogram on the edge. In many fakes the mionogram is cut either where the stitching starts or as the piece of canvas ends. This never happens to authentic LVs.

    Another point probably to consider?

    1. There are many other ways to spot a fake Louis Vuitton bag. For example, the leather tab that connects the handles of the purse always has the same number of stitches across the top; the right number is 5-4-5-5-4. If you want to know more about how to spot a replica, visit my blog, ispotbags.co

    2. I have read everywhere that LV never cuts through the monogram so when I saw a Hudson GM with the leather piping cutting through the monogram on the outside edge of the backside I was convinced it was a fake. The bag looked real in all other features and the seller assured me it was reall. I was at Fashionphile in their Beverly Hills showroom. I bought the bag because there is a 7-day refund period and I LOVE this consignment store and have had great experiences there. So, I immediately took it around the corner to LV in Beverly Hills. I told them I just bought it preowned and was worried about the authenticity. The sales asst said it was real and took it to the manager who confirmed it was real. I was baffled and asked why the piping ran through the LVs. They explained that the bag is shaped such that it gets wider toward the bottom which is why this occurred. I lone this bag! Any comments?

        1. If you check the official Louis Vuitton site, you’ll see there are some handbags with the LV logo cut off in the stitching. Nowadays, replicas are made of the same materials as the original bags, so even fake LV handbags will oxidize in time. If you want to know more about how to spot a fake Louis Vuitton bag, visit my blog, spotbags.cn or send me a message on Facebook, I’m Eva Knox

  2. Actually, Cat, that’s not entirely true. Sometimes the pattern is going to get cut off, depending on the cut of the fabric for a particular style of bag. It is often unavoidable.

Also, I know of at least one person who was handed a brand-new wallet in a boutique where the LV was horribly cut off on the edge. The Sales Associate admitted that it happens sometimes…this lady refused that wallet and asked to purchase another.

Also, I’m confused about the “fake” vs. “real” photos in this article. If you examine the photos, including the placement of straps, shadows, etc., it appears to be the identical picture photoshopped with a different background and different words over the top. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional but it looks…unfortunate.

  3. if u are a star with a fake bag, that will to be reported who( some star) take a fashion bag in what brand, what material and how much now instead of to say it is fake, on the contrary, even if one from lower class buy a dear real, perhaps, many think it is a fake.

  4. Actually, there are super fakes coming out from China that look so similar to the real thing that even a LV SA could be fooled, those are the so-called “super A” knockoffs that cost more than the typical fake and actually do follow the symmetry, stiching, date stamp, so it’s always safest to buy Vuitton’s from their own stores. You never know if there are resellers out there who use these super fakes as the real thing and rip people off.

For higher end bags like Hermes, the leather quality is a lot harder to fake so it’s not quite as tricky compared to Louis Vuitton.

  5. Its extremely hard to distinguish the differences on fake bags. The annoying fake makers are perfecting it to a science. However, I can tell you one thing about Louis Vuitton is that there is always a date code. Consisting of numbers and letters. This is how the people of Louis Vuitton identify the fakes. I HATE THE FAKE MAKERS. It ruins the prestige and lux of the bag.

    yay or nay?

  6. the fact that lv is so easy to copy says a lot. i have 4 lv bags that i bought on my own and i loved the patina and quality of the bags, but i have colleagues that bought fakes (“expensive” fakes) that look EXACTLY the same, right down to the stitching and patina. i’m so tired of seeing lvs every where i go.

this is why bags like bottega veneta and hermes are the way to go- quality, handcrafted workmanship that is difficult to accurately copy.

  7. Totally agree with you & Kaoru. Why? Because a dear friend shops quite always from Hong King for her fakes (don’t get me started on our luxury debates) and actually took a fake LV to the Rodeo store, and got them to replace the straps on her bag for free. She passed a fake for real, and the $18/hour staff were no smarter than us. Reason enough not to buy LV for me, but yes, I have seen firsthand how the HK/China/Asia fakes are damn near perfect thanks to technology. Patina, patterns, and all.

  8. I guess the point of showing the 2 very similar bags next to each other is to make the point that it is hard to tell, especially in a picture. I wanted to show something that was really close. The “real” I got from eluxury and the “fake” was from a fully disclosed seller of replica bags. I put the words on there just to drive the point home. The problem with some of these replica bag retailers is that they actually show pictures of the authentic bag, but what they sell you is a whole other story. Does that suck? Totally. If you must buy used though, you have to find a reputable reseller. And I agree with all of you, LV is not worth buying because the fakes are really good. And like Susan said, with Hermes and Bottega, you are paying for quality leather and workmanship. With LV you pay for the label on plastic.

    Love, Kelly

  9. its really disappointing these fake LV’s i have friends who i really see everyday and on special occassions and they are loaded w/ the latest LV’s and are all fake w/c they admit but it makes me feel bad seeing fake LV’s around you and youre the only 1 w/ a real LV, and your buying it at a very high price coz you want to be sure of the authenticity so you go straight to the LV’s stores and my friends got it everywhere and anywhere but the point here is the fakes really look the same… Its just the confidence in me that i know that mine is real thats all that matters!

  10. I think it’s funny that the writer of this post actually used the same picture for both images and just put “real” and “fake” over the top. I blew both of the images up on photoshop and compared them and they are the exact same (same angles, same positions, same reflections, same everything). It is the same shot with lighter background and and different words over the top. nice try.

  11. I actually wanted to discuss the whole Yoogi’s closet portion of this blog. Confident that they were advertising (you only advertise legit websites) on your blog, I actually went ahead and took a look at their website and was pleased with the prices and products they had to offer. However, I would like to know if any of the bagsnobs would actually buy products from this website and if they too stand behind the authenticity of yoogi’s merchandise? The reason I ask this is because I started looking through some of the Chanel bags and when I actually zoomed in to the clasps of these bags, I noticed that their double “C” logs had a weird signs on them. Now correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t that a typical give away that they are fake? Any comments? Would a post of spotting fake Chanel’s be coming up soon?

  12. Just responding to the previous post: many vintage Chanel bags have a stamp on either the left or right hand corner of the CC turnlock closure. This stamp is always square, never circular. Newer Chanel bags do not have this stamp.

  13. who cares, that’s obviousley not the point of the article the pictures were for demonstrative purposes Kelly already said that, you have too much time on your hands girl.

  14. All these fakes are so lame.

I went to china a few years ago and they were seling these at every corner. I admit, i bought a bag and a wallet, by curiosity and for like not even 10 euros.

The wallet lasted like 3 month it was really CHEAP.

I gave the bag to my mother and about 3 month later she broke the ZIP. However people did think it was a real one, or better said, my mother usually have Longchamp purses, not Adidas if ou see what i mean, so it makes sense.

I regret buying these, because i gave money to people who ruin LV’s image. Hate it because now everyone begins to wonder which on is fake or not, and then you get all kinds of people wearing fakes and making the brand look like a cheap brand you can find everywhere.

I went to the market in northen Paris on sunday and some african guys with a strong accent and traditionnal clothe (probably from Ivory Coast), were selling fakes again.

Then i saw a lot of girls or boys with their basebeall caps and XXXXL shirts trying to look cool with these, and realised imediately how all of these were fakes (the products and their style too ^^).

Come on, if you can’t afford the real one, at least buy a real Nike or Reebok, not a fake. Even if you own the real deal, everyone would think it’s a fake because, your clothes and style don’t really match. Lacoste and Burberry’s even want these people to STOP wearing and even buying their products because it causes damage to their image.

If the Chinese could start banning fakes, that would be a good start. It’s not even illegal there, or at least it’s tolerated.

I also saw on TV how the French police caught from Turkey HUGE rolls of LV monogram cloth worth 2M€ each.

But there’s something i would like you to think about.

I know a lot of you people buy “Underground designer’s bags” in reaction to LV becoming “too” popular and too many fakes popping out everywhere. But to me that’s just another extreme.

These bags may be cool in 2008, but will they sill be cool next year ? And who knows about underground designers out of Manhattan or Milan ? How much will they be worth in 10 years ? Think about it people, only the classics and the basics stand the test of time. Luxury bags are not just fashion, they keep their value in time, so you spend 1000 but can get 800 back 5 years later. That not only means it has more value, it also means it’s still cool even 5 years later.

While other bags may be worth… Peanuts in 5 years.

Think about it, LV will always be LV, you can ignore the brand but we will still be talking about it here in 10 years.

    JB, 26, Male, Paris.

  15. All I’m saying is that with a subject that has everything to do with honesty, integrity, and authenticity, it’s just ironic that she starts out the article with the same trickery that the fakers do.

  16. I think fakes are very hard to hunt down, even if you ban it in China there will always be others eager to get into the fake market.

What LV can do is utilize methods to make the bags more difficult to fake. For example the miroir bags were made with unique methods that are hard to imitate so there weren’t as many fake miroirs seen on the streets even though they were pretty popular when they launched the line. Even though the fakers keep evolving, LV can evolve even faster, after all they’ve got the capital and craftmenship to do it.

  17. i did some research on this. i looked a up some web sites that sell high quality replicas. i was basically drilling them for answers. i found out the sometimes left over material is what they actually make the bags out of and they also (bring in craftsmen) from those companies or people who no longer work for them. and they assemble the bags. that’s kinda scary to me. i’m thinkin what else do they do when the whole world is not paying attention i also found out louis vuitton bags with the light straps after a while they change color from light to dark the have (replicas that do the same thing) kinda takes the value out the real thing. don’t you think?

  18. I agree with all of you, its quite funny to see so many people with LV bags, thinking they look all rich and classy, when it’s quite obvious that 1) its probably fake, and 2) Everybody has something LV – again, which is fake.

Although, i don’t mind the really good replica bags, especially if they look exactly like the real ones. Saves a bit of money.

  19. I’m going to sound like a heretic but what is it with handbags? They say that 99% of LV products are sold are fakes! As long as the bag looks OK and does its job (carrying stuff?) surely that’s good enough. If people want to impress by how much money they’ve got then surely handbags don’t do it as most people buy fakes anyway so they don’t impress anyone. Why not walk down the street with $100 dollar bills stuck to your clothes ? That might impress someone.

  20. I HATED LV for the longest time for just that reason: everyone has one and, mostly, they’re the fake bags. And really, that wouldn’t bother me if people were wearing them like they were fake (ie. carrying your notebooks to school in it) but people are wearing the fake bags like they want everyone to *think* they’re real. Lame.

You buy the bag because you like the logo, especially if you’re only buying a fake. I bought a fake LV clutch a couple of weeks ago and love it to death because it’s so beautiful. If I was going for a status bag I would do what the rest of you are doing: buy Hermes or Balenciaga or Bottega Veneta.

Or, to my thinking, if you want the status but can’t afford a full-size bag just buy something smaller! I can’t afford a real Gucci bag – not the one I want, anyway – but I have a very nice real Gucci wallet (a white Gucci with metallic gold lining!) instead. 🙂

  21. i just got done selling a black prada tote to yoogi’s closet, although they did offer me the highest price for my bag it did take like 2 weeks to finally get my check because of the many confirmation emails you have to respond to first. customer service could be a little better considering its not the biggest company in the world but what are you gonna do. im used to bad customer service im from vegas. This place is in seattle washington and they seem legit so i got 417.95 for a bag that was bought for 1300 which seems like a sucky deal but anywhere else would have given me less.. about $ 250. so use yoogis closet….if you have 2 weeks to wait for the check!! i was supposed to leave for MEX already damn it lol that was my fun money and its taking forever to get here!! * so if you got any luxury bags laying around and you wanna go on vacation yoogis closet is the place for you. good luck

  22. Respectfully, I disagree about the LV Bags and buying fake as opposed to spending alot on a real one. I was ‘had’ with a LV fake, told it was a woman who buys them often, never uses, blah, blah. It was from an upscale area of NJ, Rumson, home of Bruce. I pay $90.00 for ‘real’ bag, (always owned real LV’s…last forever!) One month, this brand new bag breaks, handle cpmes apart and I visit the LV store in Short Hills Mall. Not even up to the counter and they point out,’ fake Louie.’ The dimension was off 3/4 inch…I was upset it broke so early into buying a new supposed LV. Of course they wouldn’t fix it. I’ve owned many Louie’s over time, never had a stitch come apart, let alone a busted bag. I just bought my first ‘used’ LV from Yoogis closet, looks great. And may I dare add, talk to me in 10 years from now, my new ‘used’ Louie will still be kickin’. In this instance I believe one really does get what they pay for. P>S>- Ran into 2 women, both carrying rather old looking LV bags… one made the purchase 21 years earlier and still uses it everyday, the other, 9 years and still lovin it! Talk to one who’s carrying fake LV, bet their story will not be the same!!

  23. I’m sorry if this question has already been asked before– does anyone know a website where I can get a good replica LV or Chanel bag? There are many sites out there that claim that they have the highest quality replicas, but testimonials can be faked also. Thanks for you help!

  24. Hi, I purchased a multicolore white Louis Vuitton wallet from a Louis Vuitton boutique one year ago. Last February, after only six and a half months, it popped a stitch. I was shocked. It was very expensive. I brought it back thinking they would be surprised. No, they weren’t, not even a bit embarrassed or apologetic. I mean come on, it was only six months old. They filled out a form and sent it out to get fixed. I got it back a few weeks later. Business as usual.

I haven’t had any problems with my handbags yet.

  25. Fakes are such a nuisance ! Radley bags have come up with a neat way of combating fakes using holograms – surely there must be a high tech way of guaranteeing the bag you are buying is genuine ? Some sort of chip inserted in the bag somehwre for example.

  26. I buy loads of fakes here in Asia. I own real Chloe as well as several replicas that are just as good. 98% of fake bags are bloody obvious, but good copies can be had for 1-200 Euros if you know where to go. I am not sure how I feel about this from an ethical standpoint. I would never buy three real Chloe handbags, but my first fake got me turned on to the brand and I spent almost 2000 on my newest Paraty bag. My only concern is the factory’s labor practices. I wish there were some way to ensure the fair treatment of workers.

  27. LOL, fair treatment of workers working in a factory that’s producing copyright infringement bags? Come on.

Frankly, I’d be embarrassed to be caught wearing a fake bag. I’d feel like an idiot walking around with it. Just buy a nice bag in a similar style if you can’t afford it, don’t turn yourself into a pathetic joke. I can’t wrap my head around anyone willingly buying a fake bag but I do have fun snickering at them, as do many others. And even if you don’t care what people think, have enough self respect to actually either pay the money or buy something else. Why humiliate yourself?

Anyone that I know who has bought a fake bag and admitted to it always does so while blushing and looking down and mumbling. They know they’re idiots. I just don’t see the appeal at all since when you’re buying LV or Chanel or Hermes part of the point is that you’re buying a brand. Even if the fake is $5, you’re wasting your money and supporting copyright infringement which is not something to be proud of.

  28. If you buy an authentic louis vuitton then you can resell it with good price. But fake louis vuitton ??? Nobody wants to buy the fake secondhandbag.

  29. Does someone know where I can sell my REAL old Prada bags? I don’t wear them anymore.

Back to the LV subject… I used to hate seeing them everywhere and never ever wanted to buy one. Until I went to the Paris LV store. I bought my first one and I really like it.

I agree with some of the posts here. DO NOT EVER BUY FAKE BAGS. Opt for cheaper bags, or normal leather bags, made in Italy, or wherever, and save yourself the embarrassment. Imagine someone asks you if your bag is real and you say yes, and the person asking knows that it’s a fake. How would you feel?

Again, does anyone know where I can sell my old Pradas?

  30. Hi,I noe someone who carry LV fakes like nobody’s business…

She’s so proud of it cos when we compared my LV w her fake 1,ayyooo we couldn’t find any diff on d exterior and d only diff we found was d design of d lining in the pocket inside(zipped)..She kidded me 4 spending bout 4x d amount she spent on d exact model dat she spent..hers were graded super AAA,its bout S$350…

but wtever it is,I jus couldn’t bring myself to carry fakes…hhhmmmm

  31. Please, please tell me the best online replica store forLV. I just bought one from one and it sucks big time. I really would appreciate it!

  32. I wonder when women will stop tearing themselves down.

Handbags are just something to carry your things in. They are no indicator of class or wealth. I think many women purchase items, because they genuinely enjoy the design, real or fake. I own both authentic and faux (only the best quality, of course). I know many wealthy women and men whom only purchase fakes while my less well-off pals enjoy only authentic goods… to each their own. I love each equally as much and don’t find much drop off in quality. I don’t like monogrammed bags, so, I steer clear of LV. Besides $600+ for coated canvas? pfft.

  33. Im a total fashionista and own real Louis Bags, I used to hate fakes until I found out our much loved “HERMES” that makes our much loved “BIRKIN” kills 4 crocs to make 1 birkin, 4 CROCS TO MAKE ONE BAG!!! They also want to produce 3000 this year alone, u do the math. So what did they do? They bought their own breeding grounds and breed their own crocs so they can manufacture as many bags as they like, located in Australia.

That is why the CROC Birkin runs average 35,000 per bag cus 4 bodies are dying for that bag. DISGUSTING. My friend bought a beautiful Replica Hermes which they make leather to look like croc skin where the lives of crocs are not being killed at all. Yeah yeah we can have another discussion about the leather business altogether but as we know cowhide will always be there as humans we consume a lot of beef so its not like the entire body is being wasted like the crocs.

  35. Actually, I called a Louis Vuitton boutique since I bought a bag from them and couldn’t find a date code and was told that not all LV bags have date codes on them, date codes are only to be used by insider employees who are making the bags in order to help them track the bags easier. Mine is 100% real (bought at a LV boutique) and did not have a date code. So the people that say all LV bags have date codes, no they don’t.

  36. Do not buy from ELuxury as stated above. They have been given a C rating by the BBB after multiple complaints of selling fake LV bags. Perhaps more research is needed in this department?? Just thought I’d warn you!

  37. when will the leather handles on my replica bag turn dark. It looks like the day that i received it very light tan

  38. That is a YAY.

Drives me insane. I actually had a woman once, walking behind me with her friend, whisper to her friend… “Fake”, about my LV Alma. She even had the gall to say that it was fake because the handle and bottom was too dark a brown! LOL!!

I turned around and looked at her and then got an eyeful. She was wearing leggings, a CHEAP parka (of all things) and her friend did not look much better.

All I could possibly say was how the HELL would you know? You are carrying a plastic purse and can’t even dress yourself. To this day anyone carrying a fake pisses me off and I recall that day. I bought all of mine at full retail price in various LV boutiques. Not enough money in the world would make me carry a fake.

    1. I never knew LV funded the Nazi party but, good to know as I will never buy anything of theirs (real or faux). I had family killed by them and, I am not Jewish! Ashamed of everyone who wears LV and, funny enough LV is huge in America which has tons of Jewish people – ironic. Then again Jewish people lied about others just so that they could live 1 extra day – no morals.

  39. I just thought you should know, maybe you shouldn’t be allowing Yoogi’s Closest to be advertising with you? And if you are thoroughly IMPRESSED you would be shocked to know that I purchased a Chanel wallet from them and the store deemed it FAKE. I am currently in the process of settling this matter with Yoogi’s Closet.

  40. I just bought myself the cutest fake Louis Neverfull GM. I love it. It doesn’t give me the warm fuzzies as a real one would, but I like the function of the bag and it goes with everything. I didn’t have to pay 820 for it either. If I had 820 to blow, then I would believe me. So for me… for now… I settle for this SUPER FAKE. I can see by the quality and feel of the bag that it will last. It is durable. ~ I don’t pass it off as real and I am not pretentious when I wear it. I just enjoy it. There is much to be said about the politics behind buying fakes. I stay away from politics and just enjoy my little space.

  41. Fakes can be spotted a mile away. Also, look like trash and your bag will go down with you. Lookin sloppy will make others think you got yours at a swapmeet where they sell knock off everything. I have also turned my husband into a bag snob. he’ll point you out and your fake 20 dollar lv bag.

  42. Hi, i was wondering what are things to look for in an ursula multicolor, does all ursulas have a date stamp, pls help me my wifehas been bugging me about it.

  43. I’m getting a real kick out of reading some of these comments. FYI, real or fake aside, you cannot solely determine whether a handbag is real or fake based on what other else the person is wearing. I am *frequently* found in jeans, a t-shirt and flip-flops – all my bags are authentic and I have a penchant (and own) for Bottega Veneta’s. I find it incredibly amusing when other women assume the handbags I’m carrying are fake based on what else I happen to be traveling in that day.

  44. Don’t blame Chinese people. If people stopped buying fakes, do you think the Chinese people would still make them? NO. Think before you comment.

  45. what a load of idiots….who cares, if you need any bag to prove your wealth you are not rich in any sense of the word.
status symbols sre so stupid, you have got people trying to show of their wealth and people with fakes trying to copy them. Most people can’t tell the real from fake anyway and that’s what pisses them off, why should they spend so much on a bag when nobody knows if it’s real or fake… too funny

    1. I agree! What pisses most people off (those who buy the real thing) is they can no longer flaunt their status, their wealth.

I know a lot of people who buy fakes is that they like the design a lot but cant afford the real deal. That’s why they buy the fakes. For example, there is no bag seller that sells the ebene or azure design, but a lot of people do like the design. So they just went ahead and buy the replicas.

  46. I almost bought a fake LV multicolor Ursula bag from a second hand store but thought oh no, it won’t hold up. It looked really sturdy, with great stiching, hardware, and construction. Then I went to the real LV store in the city and compared not apples to apples but apples to oranges as they no longer make the multicolor bags, and I wonder why I really do. They were beautiful. Now the classic monogram I asked to hold and feel. Yes, the zippers are wonderful. Yes the fonts are stamped more places and are deeper and clearer, but the canvas is now so thin, looks more like a disposable monogramed sheet of plastic or canvas you should discard after use. the old vintage Louis, were rougher in canvas, yes, but they looked like a real purse, these in the store, were lightweight, and cheap looking, yet they said, oh and that is $2700+. Are they for real. I personally believe some of the knock offs are building better purses than Louis Vuitton now is.
