Fendi Sfilata Divided Satchel

I am in a practical mode lately and honestly, I don’t think I am alone. Everyone is being focused and redefining the concept of “need”, which now means the essential kind and not the emotional ones. I have been getting a lot of emails lately asking for work bags that can function as a day bag, which has always been the tote but this Fendi Sfilata Divided Satchel is actually the perfect solution! It has 2 divided compartments that closes with a turnlock clasp. It is 16″ by 13″ so your 13″ laptop will fit, even with a sleeve on. There are little pockets on the ends which are good for computer cords and accessories but they are deep so small things will get lost in there. The crinkled patent leather is super chic and the shape is classic and long-lasting. Best of all, it is a Fendi without annoying monograms anywhere!! But one look and you know this is nothing but luxury designer. The price is not the most economical but if you need a work bag and you’re getting a day bag at the same time, this is a worthy investment that will take you to your next bonus when you can buy another bag. At Fendi Sfilata Divided Satchel at Saks Fifth Avenue for $2590.

Update from Tina: Lauren is right– eLuxury does have much better selections! This bag is hot, there is even a smaller version in metallic for evening. See Fendi Handbags hereeluxuryfendi.jpg

  1. Saks web people are smoking something. That is totally the wrong name for this bag, it’s the peekaboo! and Saks doesn’t even have it set up to where you can purchase, it is not allowing me to “choose a color” or pre-order it. Eluxury has this model plus several others available right now though for pre-order, and with that said, I LOVE THIS BAG!!!

  2. I haven’t bought a Fendi in years, but I love this bag.It seems it would be very practical and easy in and out. I guess it is not in stock yet at Saks.

  3. I’ve never bought Fendi because I never liked their bags. I don’t own any Chanel because I can’t get over the chain and the look of the bag. It just screams “old lady bag” to me (I know it’s Chanel, it’s classic and an investment, but I’m not spending $$ on something that I personally don’t like to just make a statement nobody else will “get”.). There I said it. Here it is — MY idea of the “old lady bag” that I will definitely buy: Fendi Sfilata Divided Satchel. I LOVE THIS BAG!

  4. Hi elleb, maybe you can go see the bag IRL. It’s very different IRL. I’ve seen 3 versions of it in the boutique (watersnake, patent leather with watersnake lining and jute versions) and they are all exquisite and very classy with a bit of a twist. I’ve ordered the first two.

So that as Empress so eloquently puts it, it’s not too much of an ‘old lady bag’. IMHO, I think the Chanel tote is a little too plain and looks totally like a work bag. I can’t imagine carrying the Chanel for any other purpose. Fendi’s new bag at least can be a night or day bag, or work or ladies at lunch bag. Much more versatile.

Last, the bag can be carried four ways, in hand, over the arm, on the shoulder and across the body.

  5. No, its like a Hermes Kelly, but easy in and out. I have several Kellys, but they are a challenge sometimes without the shoulder strap. Of course, they are stiil beautiful bags that have stood the test of time. This Fendi is a modern take on the famous Hermes Kelly.

  6. hat is totally the wrong name for this bag, it’s the peekaboo! and Saks doesn’t even have it set up to where you can purchase, it is not allowing me to “choose a color” or pre-order it. Eluxury has this model plus several others available right now though for pre-order, and with that said.

  7. The Peek-a-boo is in hot demand. Japan and Korea are almost always sold out. New Yorkers are putting full deposits on special colors, that some will never see the show room floor. A lot of the special colors are in really low production levels. The red with zebra print done in calf hair was only available to 6 US clients. you get 1 of 6!!! how exclusive and hot is that??

Spring collection 2010, the Runway Peek-a-boos are more art pieces then high volume production handbags. 2011 Winter collection is going back to the (FF) Fun Fashion side that Fendi is really known for.

2010 works of art. 2011 chic handbags that will be must haves for all high end luxury clients.

btw have you seen 2010 RTW collection by Karl Lagerfeld? smoking hot. 2011 collection tres chic!!!

  8. This is an amazing bag. I might get one for my mom. I might as well direct her here that she may see what see liked most and maybe got to surprise her by actually purchasing it without her knowing.
