Streep in Malandrino: Snob or Slob?

To mark the tenth anniversary of her namesake label Catherine Malandrino released a coffee table book and re-issued her iconic American Flag dress. This dress was an instant smash! I remember about five years ago seeing an exhibit called “My Favorite Dress” in London at The Fashion and Textile Museum where some of the world’s most renowned fashion designers were asked to select their favorite dress from one of their own collections. Fittingly Malandrino picked this patriotic number, a dress she also wore as she stepped-out on the runway at the end of her Spring 2009 show. Tones of celebs including Madonna, Halle Berry, and Sharon Stone have worn this dress and I absolutely love Meryl Streep (who doesn’t!?), but I just don’t think this dress, which she wore to the Doubt premiere in Paris, does her justice. What do you think snob or slob?

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. Ehh..I don’t like the dress itself. It’s a little TOO patriotic..even if worn on July 4th. The color also washes her out a bit. SLOB!!!

  2. what a way to show your patriotic side, especially in Europe where they LOVE the US!!!

I’m sure Streep is proud of Obama, not the other guy
