Longchamp Rodeo Luxe

longchamprodeoluxe.jpgLongchamp is our go to brand for travel and beyond– it’s not often that you’ll find the words “practical” and “chic” in one sentence but it really describes its bags! I do not pack without at least one of the foldable nylon totes (you never know when you’ll shop too much and need luggage space!) and now think I need this Rodeo Luxe tote for travel as well. It’s big but lightweight and held up the test at the mall the other day– I put everything in there including my son’s sippy cup– it’s lined in easy to clean canvas so I don’t have to worry about mishaps while traveling. The zipped front pocket is perfect size for a passport and boarding pass while the interior has several zipped compartments as well. I’m loving the azure blue– it reminds me of the pacific ocean and was the color of my old Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante (oh how I miss that car!).

Longchamp ‘Rodeo Luxe’ Shopper is 15″ wide and cost a mere $845 at Nordstrom. Do not ask me how much the Aston Martin will set you back– it’s way obscene but it was my wedding gift from the hubby so how could I refuse?

  1. LOL, no I don’t match my cars to my birkins though that is a fabulous idea!

I am in a silver gray Range Rover. The Aston martin didn’t do well with a baby seat 😉

  2. How fabulous! The bag is so cute but the car, I’ll take the car please, in any color! Why don’t you have it anymore?

  3. I got pregnant and had trouble getting in and out of it– plus people kept hitting me! It is a very small and low car, not good for a world full of SUVs… My plan is to buy myself another one when my son is off to college. LOL

  4. love this color! Just orderd one, thank you! It’s hard to find a good bag at this price. Very excited to get it.

Now if I just knew how to find a man to propose with the car and I’m all set, too.

  5. The need of matching accesories to car. Yes, I know all about that because when I once had a silver Alfa Romeo I would only wear silver aviators while driving. My favorites were a pair of Montblanc platinum plated, but the lense size has gone out of style. I’m hanging on to them though. Not long ago I saw one of the Olsen twins with a pair of vintage Laura Biagotti sunglasses that I had in 85 and my own daughter nearly turned me deaf with her screaming when I gave her my pair of tortoise shell Ray Ban Wayfarers circa 1980. Boy that dates me.Wouldn’t be caught dead with em on now though!

  6. I always longed for a Longchamp bag and I finally treated myself to the classic polished black leather tote style.

What a mistake! My Longchamp looks terrible, the polished leather has started blistering and the leather has even worn off the handles!

I recently took it to the Longchamp store in San Francisco where the staff was great, by the way. They offered to contact the Longchamp headquarters in New Jersey to see what they could do for me and my tattered Longchamp bag.

Well, I just received a phone call from Cheryl in New Jersey and basically, they will do nothing, not even repair it!

According to Cheryl, Longchamp will do nothing for their handbags that are over five years old. They do not have a lifetime guarantee for their handbags. Please!! even Coach will rehab their old bags.

After this entire episode I will no longer waste my hand-earned money on this designer bag.

Also, when I told Cheryl that I will write a negative review about Longchamp handbags and their lack of customer service, she basically said “I don’t care.”

Bottom line: Bad bags, bad attitute. Invest in a designer bag that will last and that a company will stand behind their product.

  7. Hmmmm, I was looking for some kind of help with my Lonchamp. It too has blistering on the bottom on the smooth black leather. I guess I will not waste my time with them. Sounds like you got the run around. I guess I will stick with Coach, they are wonderful and will take a bag back and either repair or totally replace it! Kind of like Nordstrom!
