I saw this collection at Barneys New York and it really took my breath away. Monica Rich Kosann is a photographer, which is why these pieces make sense and are so special. This is real jewelry that is stylish, hip and beautiful – not at all cheesy. There a a lot of jewelry with photos but most are pretty bad. Most of my jewelry have special meaning to me, but still, I won’t spend money on something that doesn’t hold value as real jewelry. These are so incredible but most of all, they are precious and full of sentimentality. I love the long chunky titanium chains (26″) on the Twin Round Titanium Half Locket ($2700) with 18K gold image cases, it is a real fashion item with a bold statement. It is meant to look like a pocket watch fob instead of a typical locket, which is so fab! It does not open, it has the hammered gold or satin finish on one side and the picture on the other. If you love the collection but don’t want to spend that much, the Key Ring has the same feel and style and is only $170.
Those are great pics! And I thought that all of the pendants with photos in it are a bit too mushy and out of style especially the gold ones. Well, maybe it really is because of how the photos were taken. The only gold pendants that I wear are the ones that I got from the Jamesallen diamonds set, it’s a bit special I guess.
