Snob or Slob? Britney Spears’ Mulberry ‘Daria’ hobo

britneymulberry.jpg

I am not a Britney fan but always rooted for her comeback. If anything, I felt sorry for her. The pressure of being in the public eye would take its toll on anyone, let alone a young woman adjusting to the life of motherhood.  God knows what the camera would have caught us doing post partum.  It looks like Brit is finally back on track, personally and professionally.  She’s also done some serious shopping on her European tour– she’s carrying the new Mulberry “Daria” bag in cerise ostrich while holding her younger son, Jayden.  The hobo shape is casually slouchy and the braided handle is a nice touch but I wish that giant logo wasn’t there.  Placing it smack dab in the center of a luscious ostrich bag just doesn’t make any sense to me!  The “Daria” hobo is 16″x18″ and costs $3,150 retail at your local Mulberry store.
What do you think?  Snob or Slob?  (the bag, not Britney)

  1. I actually like the bag and the color is perfect for summer only but I do have to agree with the logo. It stands out like a light bulb and is unattractive. Subtlety works best 🙂

  2. I love the purple ostrich and I don’t even mind the logo, I can flip it around. Snob for the bag I say.

  3. i don’t mean to be rude, but a lot (most) of her fashion choices are usually pretty tragic.

i think the bag on its on is workable, but not with her outfit and those earrings. sigh.

  4. Amen. If this bag had been on another celebrity, say Kate Moss, it would be a snob because you know kate the fashion maven would have styled it correctly, logo and all.

  5. Have to agree– styling can make a not so great piece fabulous. Poor Britney, that purple top and the chandelier earrings are beyond tragic 🙁

  6. der fashion police junior academy,

do you people know nothing! the plaque makes the bag, if she wasn’t out to make a statement she would have opted for the mitzy range- perhaps thats more in your lots price range!

And have you seen the bag in the flesh?! didn’t think so!

you can see the plaque from the interior like a port hole it’s fantastic!

    please continue your studies…

    1. I have always hated the Daria range, I love the items but just dislike the plaque on the purse, handbags and pouches etc. I own the exact same items but in different ranges; From the French, purses to the Mitzy. I saw a YouTuber with a matt maxi grain nubuck in new grain. The leather is divine, I literally had to have it but that awful plaque spoiled it.
