There are few bags at this price point that are as covetable as the Rebecca Minkoff Supernova Stud Devote Handbag ($695). I’ve been eyeing it for a few weeks now and can’t decide whether to get it in black or brown
. It’s one of the few bags I’ve seen that uses studs without it feeling overly-trendy/rocker-like. Not that it looks like it per se, but the Supernova feels very similar to Miu Miu’s Studded Shoulder Bag
in spirit (a bag which by the way I bought early this year and love!). They both stand-out because of their over-sized size and use of big, round studs. The Minkhoff is lighter than Miu Miu’s version for those who consider weight a make it or break it issue. I’m liking the buckled strap detail at the sides and the gold hardware and unlike most of the handbags I currently wear on a daily basis, this style has a single shoulder strap. The only downside is that the closure is a magnetic-snap which always causes me to worry about pick-pockets. That said there is ton of room in the bag, so most everything falls to the bottom (hence the slouchy-ness you see in the photo of Lauren Conrad carrying the bag). What do you think about LC’s Supernova Stud Devote Handbag?
I don’t care for the double straps around the bag because they cover the studs. Otherwise, great bag!
i own this bag in black.. it’s sheer luxury! i’m always being asked about it.. the straps actually balance the appearance of the studs.. they are a lot..
the black and gold is a better color combination..
I don´t know; is it the picture or what , but this bag looks crooked or something, I´m starting to get bored with all of these studs.
Sharon, I’ve been eyeing this bag since it first came out as well–But I think it’s a bit young for me–both colors are FAB!!! but go for the black version—I may buy it for my daughter for her bday-that way I can possibly borrow…hehe!!

I say get the black one! I don’t like the shade of brown that was used!
I don’t care for this bag because the top part looks like two belts are wrapped around it and I prefer belts on waists not on bags. I know the bag snob dislikes Coach but I think the madison stud bag is far superior in looks. Just my 2 cents. 🙂

Wow, I like both colors.I always like a pinky brown. Anyway at this price point, it’s guilt free.
This bag is interesting enough for me to comment on it but I cannot make up my mind about its desirability. I think I would rather wear my Balenciaga with the giant gold hardward if I owned both bags so I would never use this one.
