Wonderbar, Detox and Balancing Cleanser

wonderbar.jpg

The Wonder Bar is a facial cleanser made from a special MOOR clay from Heilmoor of Austria. This clay contains the essence of over 700 herbs and plants from the 3,000 years it took to create it. This MOOR essence is incredibly valuable for its benefits to the skin. There is also an algae formulation called Chlorey’nahre that’s in this cleansing bar. All of that is a lot of confusion names and compounds but I have been using this cleanser and to put it plain and simple – it has changed my skin completely. Basically, the cleanser detoxes your skin. If you have clogged pores, it will extract all the gunk out. I get regular facials so I don’t have that problem, but my husband does not facial so I had him use this. After the first couple of days, he got all these whiteheads, his clogged pores were purging itself. Now his skin is radiant like mine. OK, I am HUGE on exfoliating. After using the Wonderbar, I have not needed to exfoliate. After a good lather and rinse, my skin is soft and smooth, even though there is nothing abrasive in it. It is super mild. I have creamy soft baby skin. I’m not kidding. And my husband won’t need to hear me nag about getting facials anymore, in fact, it has gotten rid of his rosacea. The Wonder Bar is cheaper than most cleansers I use, a 25 gram bar that last 4-6 weeks is $40. You can also get the 5 gram trial size good for 1-2 weeks for $10. It does not take off eye makeup so you will still need an eye make up remover afterwards.

  1. Did you use this cleanser with a Clarisonic? (I’ve been struggling with post-birth control skin, but my frugal hubby wants me to avoid the expense of the Clarisonic.)

  2. Hi Kitty,

No, I did not use this with Clarisonic. I just used it by itself in the shower. It works perfectly all by itself.

    Love, Kelly

  3. If you buy the Clarisonic at Bed bath and Beyond or Sephora you can return if you are unsatisfied..I have acne prone skin and it has helped me a lot!

  4. wow, the wonderbar sounds amazing. but i am wondering where you can buy it….i live in new zealand. maybe i have to get it online?

  5. This is kind of ironic because in a more recent post we’re told “not to use bar” facial soap. So which is it?

  6. http://www.wonderbarusa.com

I just ordered a bar after reading an online article. I am a little concerned however about the “purging” or “healing crisis” as the Wonderbar website refers to it – where you’re skin may erupt, become extremely dry, scaly, etc., while it’s supposedly purging itself of toxins.

I’m also really concerned because the website also states that you can’t & don’t need to use any other skincare products -including moisterizers with aha’s or retinoids…(or mineral powders, which doesn’t concern me since I don’t use mineral makeup)…OR…’heavy’ makeup in general.

I’ve recently been using some fantastic Patricia Wexler products for sensitive skin that I’m loving, so I hope I’m not going to ruin a good thing by trying the bar.

(So why am I? Because embarrassingly, I’m a complete beauty & makeup junkie always in search of the holy grail of beauty & skincare products.8) Sad but true. lol

  7. The only place that I know to purchase the wondrebar is on http://www.wonderbarusa.com

I too have acne prone skin and this bar works wonders! It lathers up like a soap (although the company says it is not a soap) and leaves your skin feeling clean and toned. I have been using the bar in the winter so I always moisturize afterward. My skin cleared up but with minimal breakouts. It even removed a stubbord clogged pore that my derm could not extract.

I think the price is steep for the size, but it does last (do not let it melt away in the shower!) and really works great on the skin.

I have totally given my Clarisonic a rest because it is simply not neccessary!

    1. I am trying desperately to find a retail source for the Wonderbar. This website is entirely in Chinese, not entirely surprising since the company is based in
Hong Kong. But is there a website for those of us who do not read Chinese. Is the company still in operation. Help.
