Ashlee Simpson’s D&G Micol: Snob or Slob?

Last season the invite to the Hayden-Harnett F/W 2009 show came in the form of a small black leather envelope-shaped clutch that was embellished with geometric brass hardware. Inside the clutch (pictured below) was the show invite and a key to the hotel room where the presentation took place. How amazing is that!?? The invite is so indicative of how creative Toni Hacker — co-founder and creative director of Hayden-Harnett — is and I have worn the envelope-clutch on countless occasions since. I love that it’s simple enough to go with practically anything, but still spiced-up and more interesting than your typical little black clutch. The same qualities that I like in the HH clutch are drawing me to the D&G

Black Micol Leather Crossbody Bag ($618.75) that Ashlee Simpson is sporting in the picture above (it’s a crossbody bag with clutch option). The key and padlock are a fun touch (and a nice alternative for those, who like me, were obsessed with the Chloe Paddington when it first came out, but couldn’t get over how heavy the padlock was!).

What do you think about the Micol? Snob or Slob?

  1. I think Ashlee has came a long way she looks great but she is not trying to be something she is not. She is unique and true to herself. And I like the bag it is cute!
