Beyonce and Solange in Samantha Thavasa Disney Collection

Japanese fashion company Samantha Thavasa is best known, at least in my mind, for their association with Tinsley Mortimer (I’ve even spotted her shooting for the brand around NYC last year) and the Hilton sisters, but it turns out there are a slew of celebs and socials affiliated with the brand. Beyonce and her sister Solange have appeared in a nautical-themed advertisement campaign for the line and they were recently photographed (above) sporting the Disney collection. My vote is slob all the way. I can’t get over the glaring metallic which makes the bags look horribly cheap.

What do you think of these bags? Snob or Slob?

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. I do not like the bags, but I have to admit that Beyonce looks really good here – that’s the best I’ve seen her hair look in a long time!!

  2. i wouldn’t carry one, but they have a huuuge japanese market (i saw stores and girls carrying them *everywhere*) so in a way it doesn’t really matter what we think… not “snob” bags, but not every bag can be!

  3. Yeah, they have a HUGE market here in Japan…I’m not that into it, but I think most girls are carrying it cuz it’s cheap and so-called ‘it girls’ are models for the brand.

It is not bad, but the design is kinda cheap, and a bit too girly in my opinion.

The company’s business tatics are interesting, though.
