Godiva Launches Candles

I live a handful of blocks from a Godiva shop and it’s a near-daily struggle to restrain myself from their decadent, smooth, chocolaty goodness (and those chocolate-dipped strawberries!). I’m not saying that candles could ever, ever, EVER be a substitute for chocolate which has forever been my weakness, but if they could the just-launched ones from Godiva would be about as good as it gets. I’m writing this (as I munch on a Righteously Raw Maca Bar of Chocolate), seated next to their Limited Edition Strawberry Rose candle ($25) and while the scent may not conjure-up images of chocolate, there is something silky smooth and seemingly edible about the smell that the candle releases when it burns. The scent is light and refreshing however and even though it does smell edible it won’t induce a chocolate craving (unless you have one already that is…). The packaging is in line with what we know from Godiva and the price is surprisingly not bad. Other flavors include Milk Chocolate Truffle and White Chocolate Magnolia. See more here!

  1. Hi Sharon!

Speaking of chocolates, have you ever had Teuscher’s champagne truffles?! So tasty. The Beverly Hills store is so nice and the one here in Boston is cute too. Definitely a close tie with Demel chocolates in Vienna. : )

  2. umm…ya!!! LOVE. Actually a Teuscher shop is near my apartment as well. Though I really would not trust myself with a box of them…if left alone I could easily eat a handful or more…my absolute fave however is Neuhaus..and pistachio from La Maison du Chocolat:)
