Burberry Basket Cord Tote Bag

When Gwyneth Paltrow likes a bag, she sticks with it. Case in point: Burberry’s Basket Cord tote, which she has sported on and off for the last six months. Paltrow was first spotted with it while in Paris attending her friend Stella McCartney’s fashion show. The smooth leather trims and leather piping, not to mention long strap and five feet at the base, made it a natural complement to her Burberry trench as she ran in and out of the Ritz. More recently, she was seen shopping on Long Island with daughter Apple and at Heathrow in London carrying the hold-all. From afar, the basket weaving looks like hundreds of tiny metal studs when in reality it’s far lighter and less trendy (perfect for year-round use!). As for those who eschew logos? Only a subtle, albeit large, Burberry Prorsum knight with trademark inscription is etched into the leather. The monochromatic black-on-black lacquered hardware is a sleek finishing touch.
