Fendi Needlepoint Event at BG

fendi_needlepointevent.jpg

This is totally for curiosity’s sake. If anyone happens to be at BG tomorrow, please stop by this event and let me know how it was and who attended. They are serious about this needlepointing business! And I just thought it was a novelty for editorial coverage. Well, I guess I’m guilty of falling for it then =) Please report back!!

  1. The BG/Fendi ad on page E4 of today’s NY Times has a third handbag pictured. It is almost a clone of one of my mother’s from the 1940’s!

  2. Though I`m a big replica handbag collector, I do have an authentic Fendi like the one on the left. Got it as a gift. I`m not so much in love with Fendi though and despite the fact that the bag is authentic, and it`s pretty, I only wore it like 5 times. Even forgot about it, it should be in my wardrobe hehe 🙂

  3. Real needlepointers are rolling their eyes at the bagette purse kit and the Bergdorf’s event as well.

Here are what contemporary needlepoint purses look like.

One can do better than this. The canvases are not cheap, neither are the threads and especially not the finishing but the outcome is a unique and personal purse.
