Lola x J.Crew Hats

Did I mention I’m a big fan of J. Crew? When I came across this delightful pair of Lola hats designed exclusively for J. Crew, it made me smile. NYC-based Lola Ehrlich, an artisanal milliner known for her attention to detail and meticulous craftsmanship–all her hats are handmade with natural materials–has collaborated with J. Crew on a fedora and sun hat that will have you worshipping to the sun Gods. The raffia sun-day fedora features thin stripes created from cotton-thread cords–the ends of which poke out for a unique polka-dot effect–and has a 22 1/5″ inner circumference. The sun hat, meanwhile, features mercerized cotton rope and lacquered wooden beads with copper ends on the rope that’s both completely urban cool or island chic. Both are lightweight, easy to pack and complement any look. I’ve really taken a big liking to hats this season, and with these two new additions on the block, it seems I’m not the only one.

Fedora, $98, available at J. Crew stores and www.j.crew.com
