Sarah Jessica Parker in Lanvin Ouloulette Bag

There are days when I question SJP’s style choices–as quirky and as eccentric as they may be–but there are days when I applaud them. I love how Parker took a “casual” approach to dressing for the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of “Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston” documentary last Friday. Tossing a long sweatshirt-cum-tunic top over her chiffon dress, Parker managed to look luxe and chic yet simultaneously relaxed and Boho. Completing the look, besides her Brian Atwood heels, was Lanvin’s Ouloulette bag. Parker’s particular bag is from the fall collection (translation: preorder yours today for July delivery) and the rose honey stitched satin clutch with crystal closure looks fabulous when paired with a long chain strap with feather detailing. At first, this bag didn’t strike my fancy when I saw it laid out flat on the table–but when placed over the body, it takes on an entirely new perspective. It really takes the shape of the wearer nicely–and in a flattering light. Fortunately, it’s also one of those bags dainty enough for someone as petite as Parker but can also hold plenty of essentials.

$1,185, available in NYC only at Barneys New York.
