With shoes this good, it’s nearly impossible to decide where to start. How about Brian’s favorite pair from his new resort collection? That would be the “Jackie”–a satin-and-python stiletto sandal on a single sole (as opposed to a platform) with three buckles that instantly add va-va-voom to any outfit. I personally love the blue suede version with white stitching that runs along the borders. Hot right?

As for the rest of the collection, well let’s see what we’ve got. “It’s all about a great exit,” Brian told me as he took me through the collection. “Colors and details were important for this collection,” he added. “I wanted beautiful, sweet colors but with an edge. They’re provocative!” Those sweet colors are in reference to his classic “Maniac” pump–a pair that any Brian Atwood girl surely already owns multiples of in her closet. The patchwork bootie is beyond words, and the stretch mesh and netting heels are fashion-forward as well. Another to-die-for pair is the “Jezebel,” Brian’s self-described military pump with rubber sole. Other fabulous designs include the “Sangallo” eyelet pump, cork slingback and plastic-and-suede “Courtney” sandal in multicolor. It’s like your feet are floating! And the series of platform chain heels–how major is that heel detail?–is going to be the ultimate shoe come late fall.

Last but not least, did I mention Brian’s designed his first-ever collection of flats? They’re called the “Hampton,” natch, and are simple yet chic moccasins-cum-loafers perfect for Sunday strolls in the park or on board one’s yacht in the Mediterranean. “They look great with a tan leg,” says Atwood.
