Gwen Stefani in L.A.M.B. Black Leather Hobo

Simply put, Gwen Stefani is the best model for her own line. With its rockabilly attitude and fashion-forward spunk, the singer not only lends credibility when she totes her own designs, but she makes them even more desirable than they already are. Case in point: this L.A.M.B. black leather hobo from the fall collection. I’ve always been a bit skeptical of celebrities-turned-designers, but Stefani continues to impress season after season. She treats fashion as an extension of her–and not as a job. It’s a subtle, but important, point of distinction that most of her A-list peers fail at. But I digress. What I like about this bag is that it’s roomy, stylish and chock full of great design details. It easily looks like a bag three or four times its price. The inside is fashioned in black nylon and features two pouch pockets and a zipper pocket–utilitarian all the way. I think the zipper detail is chic, as is the texture of the bag. Best of all, it’s just a great everyday bag for when you need style on the go. STAT.

  1. Let me preface this by saying that I am not a fan of Gwen Stefani’s style. It’s not me. With that bein said, I love this bag. It fits my aesthetic of a stylish yet functional mommy. And, I like that her line is affordable without being cheap.

  2. It’s nice, but I really wish everyone would STOP putting those metal bracket logos on bags…. hate them.

  3. Gwen Stefani’s line, L.A.M.B, is a nice change to the typical celeb-inspired designs. Honestly, it’s funky, fun, chic and definitely hip….which rocks because it’s not too pricey.

Now, both of the displayed bags are really great. I am a huge fan of the hobo and love oversized bags so these are both smashing picks. Am very tempted to buy them both……

    Anyways, love the post Jim!

  4. OK Man Bag: So tell me what ISN’T made in China today? Hello? If you want to make a real good investment, learn to speak Chinese because we are and will remain owned by them 100% for the foreseeable future. ALSO, what on earth does the possibility that this bag is made in China have to DO with anything?
