The Dry Bar, a Blowdry Bar

drybar.jpg

I wish this place was down the street from me! If they open one, I would be there twice a week! The Dry Bar is a blowout only salon and it includes the wash for only $35. Maybe I got lucky and had the talented Rudy do my blowout but when I looked around, everyone’s hair was immaculately done. This isn’t just a blow dry, this is actual styling with a choice of do’s with cute names like The Manhattan (sleek and smooth), Mai Tai (messy beach hair),

Cosmopolitan (lots of loose curls) and Southern comfort (big hair lots of volume). The decor is super modern and comfortable. I got a mix of the Cosmopolitan and Southern Comfort, which would be headache inducing as a drink, but for the cocktail party I was going to, it was sexy and glamorous. Rudy used different sizes of curling irons to create a more natural and casual version of the bombshell look. You can get an updo for $70 and include a Floater, a 10 minute massage for $10. I have been to other similar blowout places and this was by far the best, they have real stylists who do a fantastic job. Right now they are in Brentwood but they are ramping up to open additional salons throughout the country, I can’t wait!
