Bottega Veneta Flannel Smog Intrecciato Papier Snakeskin Clutch

Love love love this clutch. Tomas Maier knows how to push the envelope while staying totally tasteful and classic. The beetles inspired collection is simply brilliant, from the opalescent degrade colors to the actual little bug as adornments. I am not a bug lover, in fact I am squeamish when I have to squash one to death, but this creature just works and is really adorable without getting to cutesy like you would with ladybugs. It is actually the lock on this clutch, you turn it sideways to open the latch. It is made with woven cellophane paper, which is so mind blowingly chic, and the interior is snakeskin! Who puts paper on the outside and snake on the inside? It’s this kind of insanity that makes us lose our minds!! Will be available later this month, at Bottega Veneta for $2250 (actually wish it didn’t have the snake interior just so the price could be closer to $1000).
