Pixi Flawless Beauty Stick

Pixi and I go waaay back. In High School I came across the brand while shopping the beauty counters at Bendel’s and immediately fell for their powder foundation. I wore it for years when Bendel’s suddenly stopped carrying the brand. It briefly popped-up at Sephora, but soon after was only available in the Pixi London shop. I stopped by the London boutique in 2004 to stock up on the foundation, but by that time they had cut costs by replacing the applicator brush with a sponge and given that the price wasn’t that much less than Chanel I jumped ship. I recently got a press release that alerted me to some new Pixi finds and the memories just came flooding back! I had no idea the brand still existed!

Pixi now has a comprehensive e-commerce site and they seem to have lowered their prices. I’ve been using the Pixi Flawless Beauty Stick ($26) and it’s even better than the powder foundation I used back in the day. The brand still has some improving to do when it comes to their packaging, but in terms of quality and easy of use, this cream-to-powder foundation/concealer stick is awesome. Plus it’s formulated with SPF 28. The colors are very light however, so I would suggest going for a shade darker than you think you need.

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. Pixi is now available at Target. After you mentioned the brand here, I took a closer look and it appears to be Pixi’s standard line at the standard price points. I am loving the Flawless and Poreless primer ($28), and the Endless Silky Eye Pen in Deep Plum ($14). Thanks for mentioning this brand that I can pick up while running other errands without a trip to the mall!
