A really good friend of mine works for the Children’s Bureau, an advocacy group dedicated to helping vulnerable children. Their mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect, and when it happens to protect, nurture and treat abused children. Another important aspect of their work is to enhance the life of families and communities so they can meet the needs of their children, as well as, advancing the welfare of children and families through foster care, adoptions, child development, parent education, mental health, research and advocacy.
