As if the collection, with its wacky Africa-meets-exotic-graduation theme didn’t have eyes popping, check out the Missoni spring handbags: plastic wrap anyone? Maybe it’s art imitating life, or vice versa, but it was intriguing, if not downright puzzling, to see the handbags come down the runway still in their plastic wrapping they arrived to the show venue in! For those who aren’t familiar with the workings backstage at a fashion show, the accessories come housed in plastic bags so that the dressers can easily identify the bags and shoes that go with each look. I suppose, in a fit of irony, Angela Missoni decided to bypass one step and make the packing process one step easier following the show. The bags themselves are certainly charming and sweet. What do you think of this accessory statement?
Weak. I don’t think this collection will do well. Missoni has been off for two years.
Missoni has taken a turn for the worst. First they openb a store on Rodeo Drive, without using their name to garner attention. Then the matronly ugly clothes that are WAY to hot for Los Angeles fill the racks. The staff is great, I feel sorry for them.
