Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Pristine Beauty

As most you know it’s Breast Cancer Awareness month and my inbox is literally overflowing with BCA-themed beauty buys available exclusively for the month of October. While every little bit counts (love the pink lighting on the tip of the Empire State Building!) – and I can only imagine how difficult it is to build a successful beauty business in such a cluttered marketplace, it’s always more impressive to find brands that support charitable initiatives all year round. Cheeky, celebrity favored brand (Christina Applegate, Molly Sims, Leann Rimes, Olivia Newton John…), Pristine Beauty, is one such brand. They donate a portion of their proceeds to the Young Survival Coalition and the Cancer Prevention Coalition all year and for all products.

The brand’s packaging is awesome (kind of reminds me of Soap&Glory a bit), and the mastermind behind the look and brand philosophy is Blaire Kessler. Kessler began making chemical-free beauty products after her breast cancer diagnosis in 2005 and her spot-on combination of natural formulations, old Hollywood-inspired packaging, and affordable price points gives the line high appeal. Among the most popular products are the Pristine Beauty Locks Of Fame Shampoo and Conditioner ($16 each), which are designed to tame “Albert Einstein hair” for an Audrey Hepburn look…now who wouldn’t want that!?

Have you come across any awesome BCA products this year?

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?
