Where Riccardo Tisci goes, leopard spots follow. For a decidedly tough-chic spring collection, Tisci, once again, harked back to his specialty: designing a wardrobe for women that verges on masculinity. This was a loud show. The clothes were unabashedly strong–from the strong shoulders and silhouette molded to the body to the metal hardware and intense layering. Sheer has become a mainstay at Givenchy of seasons late, and spring sees a concept called “attached underwear” that was evident in the chiffon veils draped across the legs and torso. And how about those aforementioned leopard spots? They were liberally applied everywhere–from all over on a jacket to even the smallest epaulettes. The must-have for spring? A pristine white sleeveless coat with a crisp peplum applied to the waist worn over a romantic pink tulle dress awash in ruffles.
