Olivia Wilde in Monique Lhuillier

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art was host to the opening gala for “The Unmasking,” an exhibition pavilion. Many of Hollywood’s stars attended the event and were dressed to impress. Olivia Wilde was no exception. I first fell in love with Olivia Wilde years ago in a silver Reem Acra gown at the Emmys. When I first saw this photograph of Olivia in this nude tulle gown, I immediately thought of Reem Acra. After looking a little closer it hit me: Monique Lhuillier. This gown is from the Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2010 collection.

If we’re all best friends here, we can clearly be honest with each other.  I must admit I am so in love with this dress.  Tulle is one of my best friends (other than you all, of course).  Though I don’t have many events that call for gowns (read: never), I would love to wear this.  The detailing on the corset bodice is divine.  The details and layers of tulle on the skirt are dreamy.
I have one bone to pick with Olivia.  Okay, two bones: the hair and the jacket.  See what I mean after the jump.

Olivia. Was that jacket really necessary? I won’t even start on the mask, but a jacket on the red carpet over a gown, especially this gown? I am not a fan. How do you feel about it?
