Lucky Shops 2010

Mark your calendars! From November 4-6, Lucky Magazine will bring its pages to brilliant life via Lucky Shops 2010, easily one of New York City’s most highly-anticipated shopping extravaganzas. Benefiting Free Arts NYC this year, the three day fête at the Metropolitan Pavilion kicks off with a “VIP Shopping Party” and a celebration of Lucky’s 10th anniversary. Hosted by Hilary Duff, the event will also mark the arrival of new Lucky editor-in-chief Brandon Holley! If you haven’t been to this event before, trust me when I say it’s amazing. I’ve been many years in a row and the ladies simply go mad at the prices–which are up to 70% off–and the breadth of selection. Lucky editors spend all year editing and selecting the merchandise so there is no such thing as a bad buy! In addition to thousands of pieces of clothing from over 60 designers and retailers, there are also handbags, shoes, jewelry and other accessories galore.

New this year is a special Designer Capsule Collection shop offering one-of-a-kind pieces by LP by Linea Pelle, Matt Bernson Special Project and Thread by Thread Social. There’s also the Free Arts NYC “Shopping fom the HeART” boutique which will offer pieces from Donna Karan Collection, doo.ri, Erin Fetherston and Tibi, as well as personal pieces from my friend Mary Alice Stephenson’s own closet. For those wanting more, there’s also a Boudoir Bar, Jeanius Bar, Maybelline New York Color Studio, Nine West Vintage American Collection and Ford Warriors in Pink booth, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen foundation.
