Pierre Hardy Montauk Sandal

pierrehardy_ss_11.jpg

The moment I saw this sandal in the Pierre Hardy showroom I knew its name would be reminiscent of a fabulous beach destination. And I was right! Pierre’s named these beige-and-black canvas peep-toe sandals, from his Spring 2011 collection, the “Montauk”–after the iconic getaway on Long Island’s eastern tip, natch. I’m a sucker for any shoe reminiscent of a good ‘ole boat shoe, so you can imagine my delight upon spying these heels. While the noticeably high heel don’t lend themselves to walking on the beach, they’ll certainly be perfect for your garden parties next spring. The leather side trim, not to mention leather lace-ups in front, are perfect for the inner preppy in you. For those in New York, the shoes will undoubtedly be available at Pierre’s first-ever U.S. boutique, scheduled to open in a few months in the West Village.

$1,400, available at Barneys New York
