Gucci Limited Edition “New Jackie” Ostrich Bag

I have always loved, loved, loved Gucci’s classic Jackie-O bag. When Frida Giannini tweaked it by enlarging it and naming it the “New Jackie,” I swooned even more. This is one hot bag; it simply looks amazing on a woman’s shoulder. To celebrate its newly-renovated Rue Royale store in Paris, Gucci is selling a capsule collection of items exclusive to the store. The pièce de résistance? An ostrich “New Jackie,” of which only six were made. Other pieces in the collection include a soft grey deer skin “New Jackie,” matching wallets and an elegant silk scarf decorated with the “Gucci Paris 23 Rue Royale” border. If you’re headed to Paris, definitely check out this new concept store. Accessories aficionados will love the fact that this boutique is the first Gucci store in Europe to offer customers a made-to-order service for its New Bamboo bag, which will be available in three sizes and 25 shades of crocodile skin. Each bag comes personalized with the owner’s initials on the inner part of the flap and on the mirror case.
