Diane von Furstenberg Piper Feather-Trim Bag

dvf_piper_feather_bag.jpg

Some of you complain that my taste is too bland and boring. But there’s got to be a balance between a stark and minimalistic Valextra and this. I love the whimsical feel of adding feathers for flair but this bag looks like it swallowed a chicken. Then there is the braided trim, studs and that ginormous hardware. The designer should have called it quits somewhere before the rocker look turned into a full-on American Indian theme. This would have been more appropriate for the Fall season as an alternative to the cornucopia centerpiece. At Bergdorf Goodman for $795.

  1. Talk about putting all of your eggs in one basket. This is not cute. Not cute at all-pailletes, feathers, and gold hardware all on one bag.

As much as I love an over-the-top handbag, this is ugly. And the colors don’t help the cause.

  2. I don’t think your taste is bland or boring at all. It’s classic – you have excellent taste.

And this is a hideous bag.
