Last summer, I tried desperately to find a boot I could wear to outdoor concerts, festivals and picnics that would protect me from the mud and spills that come with those events, but would still look cute with a dress without looking too western. These would have been PERFECT.
I love boots with dresses. It’s such a summer look and I always feel sexy in them. I don’t, however, always want to look like I’m going to a rodeo or a Kenny Chesney concert every time I want to pull this look off.
The Maison Martin Margiela Western Knee Boot is the perfect combination of light summer boot with just a hint of western influence. The toe isn’t pointed, there is no fancy stitching detail on the side, and there is almost no heel, yet at the top there is just a splash of country with the peaked sides.
