Legendary hair guru, John Barrett, gave me the scoop on hair styles to expect for Dennis Basso’s fashion show next Tuesday!
I arrived in NYC on Thursday morning, dropped off my bags at the W Times Square and immediately headed to Bergdorf Goodman (also known as the snob home away from home) to have my make up and hair done courtesy of Le Metier de Beaute and the legendary John Barrett salon (I SO wished I had blonde hair that day, so I could be a Bergdorf Blonde:). I have been buying Le Metier de Beaute at Neiman Marcus for a year so it was really exciting to have their make up artist make me pretty to kick off fashion week! Franco (he with the gorgeous skin and curly long lashes) used the Tinted Moisturizer on me instead of Peau Vierge (he thought I needed more coverage) and bronzer that looked scary and dark but instead gave a natural healthy glow. He finished off with a slick of Creme de la Creme lip gloss that I’m going to go buy right now– it looks like your lips but prettier. (Jump to see photos!)
Le Metier de Beaute Bronzer for $55
My new favorite hair stylist in NYC is Tasha– um, it’s Saturday but my “piecey” rock-n-roll waves are still in tact and look even better than they did the first day! She used a curling iron and Shu Uemura hair products on me– in under 20 minutes I had runway worthy hair. If you’re in NYC or plan on visiting, you must have your hair done by Tasha and a make over from Franco Call 212-872-2700 for an appointment.
The best part is, you can shop at Bergdorfs or dine in the restaurant afterwards to show off your hair and make up
Left: Franco gave me a natural yet polished look. Right: Tasha– my girl! No one does sexy waves better than Tasha!
