We’ve heard for years that blue-based red lipstick helps make your teeth appear whiter. And you’ve got lip glosses that claim to plump your lips, curb your appetite, reduce creases. Now one that brightens your teeth! Actually, My Youthful Smile’s Kiss Me Now gloss performs three out of those four actions, and, of course, it colors your lips. Giving the appearance of brighter, whiter teeth with, yes, blue-based pigments, it also has a plumping element to give you a bigger pout without the burning effects (I don’t know about you, but I thought DuWop’s Lip Venom bordered on sadistic).
The dual-sided wand has collagen-infused Smile Line Wrinkle Fill crème to make lips smoother and reduce lines around the close edges of your lips. While the fast-absorbing matte crème feels good, I’m not sure how much it’s doing; maybe it’s one of those treatments that requires time to take effect. Similarly, the plumping agent is not as effective as others I’ve used, but it sure does make your teeth appear whiter, especially under fluorescent light – ideal for flash photographs!
If you’re only interested in teeth whitening, My Youthful Smile makes a clear blue gloss, which goes on clear and strictly serves that purpose. My concern is if you use this over other lip colors, the blue base hue might get negated and the pigment won’t work its magic. On It Cosmetics for $32.
