Frugal Snob: Tory Burch “Louisa” Messenger Bag: Makes Me Strap-Happy

I have been so pleased to see Ms. Burch elevate her designs so far past the logo-adorned ballet flats of five years ago. The trademark ethnic-inspired “T” hardware remains, but this simple bag’s embellished shoulder straps are on-trend in a major way. The usage of buckle hardware (clean and subtle) all along the straps is inventive and graphic. Multi-functional, you can carry it as a clutch, shoulder bag, or messenger. However you hold it, make sure you show off the strap to flaunt the added punch. On Net-a-Porter for $395.

Pair with: Ashley Pitman’s Studded Light Horn Bangle has well-matched amounts of gold accents and earthiness. At Bergdorf Goodman for $395.
