Walker’s Apothecary Chamomile Soothing Gel

The only beauty product I take with me to the gym is Murad’s Clarifying Body Spray ($37). Ladies, if you workout – get it, use it, you’ll start swearing by it! I spray it all over my back, chest, and neck immediately after getting out of any sweat-inducing class and it prevents me from getting even a trace of body break-outs. I’m too worried about my sensitive skin to spray in on my face, so I just splash some water before heading home. The problem is, and I know this is kinda gross, I don’t always shower immediately when I get back to my apartment. More often then not my computer is calling my name and before I know it I’m knee deep in emails. Given my sensitive skin this sometimes causes some irritation (mostly small bumps), which is frustrating because I know it’s my fault! So, in an attempt to be proactive I’ve started using a sample of Walker’s Apothecary Chamomile Soothing Gel ($32) that I was given.

For the past two weeks or so, the second I get back from the gym I wash my hands, quickly lather on some of the gel and let it sit for about 20 minutes while I check my emails. It lets me do what I “need” to do, while forcing me to get into the shower in a timely manner (it’s kinda sticky so you really wouldn’t want it on your face for more then 20 minutes).

I found the gel to have a more citrus then chamomile smell (must be the lemon oil in the formulation…), and I actually have to say I don’t love the scent and could do without some of the sticky feeling of the gel, but the tell-tale is that my skin is totally (knock on wood!), blemish free right now, so it did do a great job at cleansing and calming my red, sweaty, post-workout skin.

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. Really love using chamomile on my skin! I’m using Body Shop’s chamomile eye makeup remover right now. Pretty amazing.

This looks really great though. MUST TRY!
