Jimmy Choo Mirrored Leather and Cork Wedges: Mirror, Mirror On the Wedge

jimmy_choo_mirrored_wedges.jpg

This zippy, shiny Jimmy Choo gives a wink to your laid-back, casual side. Mirrored leather adds pizzazz to cork and the cork wedge keeps it way easy, and bright-bright polish makes silver metallic shoes all the more fun (no, these are not my first pair!). Which also means you can go bold and blazing with what you wear. The wedge is ultra-comfortable, and coming from me, you know that’s the truth. The height is 4″, but the pitch is an easy 3″ with the platform. A wedge is the way to go wherever there’s grass, sand, or cobblestones involved – stilettos tend to lose their glamour once you’re stuck feebly and your heels are scraped up – and you do tend to walk these surfaces more often during the summertime. Lucky for me, in warm So-Cal, I can wear these all the way through to the fall. And I will, since this sandal evokes dressy and comfy, classy and earthy, all in one killer daytime look. And they’re well-priced, too (under $400 for Choos?!). At Saks Fifth Avenue for $395.

Pair with: Tory Burch’s glazed leather messenger bag, with silver chain-strap hardware, has the texture of canvas – equals as neutral and versatile as your wedges.

On Shopbop for $365.
