These are the kind of shoes that make me break out with fever and go insane. So freaking hot and ridiculously drool inducing. The YSL signature covered platform in linen is amped up a thousand degrees with a crocodile toe. The contrast of light linen and dark crocodile is typical perfection, it is the mix of linen and croc that is more unexpected. Another unexpected surprise is the price, the leather version of this shoe is $995 – these are $2445! For that bit of croc on the toe? The rest is linen, no? But I think the pricing committee was banking on the emotional motivation and not a rational one. I was very very close to getting these even though I could not walk in them! The total heel height is 7″!! But it is also that mile high heel that makes these so sexy. I am told one of the few places that has this is the Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, 310-550-5900.
These are probably the hottest version of this style that I have seen. I adore these! But that price is ridiculous. I shop emotionally, but even I have to draw the line somewhere.

Extremely overpriced when compared with the leather version. Surely that little croc can’t cost that much or any croc bag would start at $50k. I think you are right that they reckon lust will win out over the bank manager.
