Belle Noel “Honey Hexagon” Hair Comb: Belle of the Beach

Belle_Noel_Honey_Hexagon_Hair_Comb.jpg

First there was hair bling (sorry, I just couldn’t get into that), then multicolor feather extensions (thank you, Ke$ha, for the trend that reached all the way to “American Idol”). Humans will find any and every way to adorn themselves and some are more successful than others. Unlike Thai silk strands or dyed rooster feathers, this hair comb that’s a more straightforward take on hair jewelry is all right! The headpiece equivalent to harness body chains, like this draped one by Fannie Schiavoni,Belle Noel‘s hair adornment is a little medieval princess (I could see this on Princess Buttercup in “The Princess Bride”) a lot modern beach goddess. Wear these 14-karat gold-plated combs, connected with tiered chains for high romance, with a long floral maxi and flats with straps aplenty and you have a look made in seaside heaven. On ShopBop for $35.

Pair with: The only true accessory this headdress needs are flowing, mermaid-like waves. Relaxed and wind-blown – an unstyled style – is the way to go. See Reese Witherspoon, Emma Stone, and Gabriella Wilde for tousled inspiration and use Sultra‘s curling iron to achieve your beautiful mess. Sultra The Bombshell 1″ Curling Iron, $130.

  1. I’ve never heard the term “hair bling”, but i like it;)

Its an interesting look, i’m not sure what type of occasion you would wear that on.

  2. Love the idea, and think it would great for a bride. I wonder if it will work for black or very dark hair or look too costumey because of the contrast. It seems to work on light brown or blonde hair as a subtle touch of gleam.
