Chanel Quilted Lambskin Bag: Instant Classic

chanel_quilted_lambskin_flapbag.jpg

Don’t you love it when Chanel gives us something new and invigorating? Their latest is a take on the classic flap bag and is sure to be an instant classic. Of course I’m a fan of the original, but this update from the Paris-Byzance collection is so much fresher and younger! Not to mention super-tactile. With that inviting bubble quilt that’s lush and comforting, you just want to cozy up to it under your arm and never let go.

The flap is far-reaching, going all the way down, only adding to the plushness. It also comes in black and gray, but atypical terra cotta is gorgeous beyond words – and really highlights the antiqued hardware. Keep in mind, the interior space is small (especially considering all the volume). It’s not your everyday carry-all, but wouldn’t you want to save such a treasure for special days anyway? At Chanel boutiques for $3,150.

Pair with: The modern-day Chanel mademoiselle knows her classic quilted bag looks best when given off-duty model edge, like with Rag & Bone‘s “Norton” textured taupe leather biker jacket. The delicate silver hardware picks up the glistening loveliness of the Chanel “C’s” and chainstrap. On Net-a-Porter for $1,295.

  1. Seriously?? This is sooo different than all the other Chanel quilted flap bags before it? I know you all say Chanel is Chanel…whatever that means. I think that someone at Chanel should think outside the quilted flap bag box.

  2. I think Chanel fashion house is too much relying on their classic quite design. They put lots of the quited bag out. But seriously, not all of them are pretty and can justify that price tag. Like this one.
I think these days too many people are just fooled by the brand. But I think lots of their design are just ugly. Without that double C logo, would you still think it is a pretty bag?
