Kartell “Lou Lou Ghost” Kid Chair and “Small Ghost Buster” Night Table: Look out, Casper!

How could a kid not love furniture that goes by the name “ghost?” (Unless it scares them, but there’s nothing frightening about this awesome furniture!) For the swankiest tot on the block, these two pieces are functional, fabulous, and forever. The Kartell “Lou Lou Ghost” chair (in clear and light blue) and “Small Ghost Buster” bedside table (in a variety of fun colors from violet to crystal) boast a totally hip design that can either go all modern or mix with shabby chic for an amazingly eclectic look.

They are easy to clean, scratch resistant, and cannot be destroyed. The night table, designed by the eminent Philippe Starck along with Eugeni Quitllet (which may account for its loftier price), is great for books, toys, and knick-knacks galore. And what other piece of furniture could you count on making it to college with your tot? I hate thinking about the day my girls leave home, but these chairs are great for dorm rooms; and bringing a piece of home with her will be comforting (to me, I mean!). So whether you’re shopping for little tots or leaving-home tots, these are two pieces that are just too funky-cool not to have.

“Lou Lou Ghost” Kid Chair. At Hive Modern for $133.

“Small Ghost Buster” Night Table. At Barneys New York for $412.
