Tiffany & Co. Paloma’s Marrakesh Collection

Paloma once again dazzles us. Inspired by the intricate patterns found in Morocco, she gives us the Marrakesh collection – a bangle, ring, and dome pendant (among other lovelies) that exude mystery in their exotic patterns. Although highly intriguing in their mystique, they are still classic enough for everyday wear.

Let’s start our Moroccan adventure with the “Dome” pendant ($6,000) in 18-karat gold with red jasper. This is a necklace you can throw on with anything – the red gives a shot of color that adds emphasis to any ensemble. The 18″ black twist cord insures that it’s not too prissy.

The sterling silver bangle ($1,300) is also an easy piece, yet simultaneously elaborate. The simple sterling hue allows for ready blending, but the design complexity is akin to a bird’s nest (and reminds me of the Beijing Olympic Bird Nest Stadium). The delicately detailed pattern in this facile color is mesmerizing in its delightful duality.

But my favorite piece is the 18-karat gold and cobalt enamel ring ($2,700). The round bubble design is beauteously bold on the finger. The cobalt blue peering through the gold is a shot of happy brightness. This is a heavenly combo! And a heavenly collection. Morocco, here I come.
