Alexander Wang “Adriel” Metallic Leather Clutch: Crossing My Palm With Silver

I couldn’t take my eyes – or my hands – off of Alex Wang’s “Rafael” clutch when it grabbed my attention exactly one month ago. Despite how much I loved the high, high-shine metallic silver finish and chunky zippered hardware, the unnecessary rabbit tail zipper pulls – and, dare I say, unsightly? – posed a distraction. Enter the “Adriel,” a refined clutch version of Wang’s metallic leather bag that has all of the sheen and none of the fur. Okay, it’s not quite as mega-shiny, but it still packs an electric punch of silver, not the mention the bold zip closure that such a sleek little bag demands (or else it’s all ungrounded luster). You’ve got to a love a front pocket on a clutch that not only completes but enhances the bag’s design. The upward-facing triangular flap has magnetic closure to keep your smallest items safe. Forget lucky rabbit feet – I’m taking a chunk of silver as my good-fortune charm.
On Net-a-Porter for $475.
