Omorovicza Gold Sugar Scrub

If you didn’t want to get pampered in Budapest before, you will after using most anything from Omorovicza. The line’s founders were inspired by the mineral-rich, healing waters found in the thermal baths over there to create their skincare range, which they worked on with a Nobel-prize winning laboratory of dermatology. Around the same time that I was eaten alive by mosquitoes in the Hamptons (seriously it was so bad I went to see my dermatologist), I started using Omorovicza Gold Sugar Scrub ($90) — this scrub is like a DIY Mandarin Oriental massage in a bottle..no joke! It has the smell of those relaxing oils they use when you get a massage and the particles in the scrub are a perfect thickness to sooth sore muscles or in my case, mosquito bites (I know, I know you’re supposed to leave them alone but mild pressure with this scrub felt so good!), without being so harsh that they’ll irritate your skin even if you put a lot of pressure. Get a guy to rub this on your back after a stressful day and you’ll be in heaven!

And yes, there are actual gold particles along with cane sugar and ylang-ylang in the formulation. The gold isn’t just for show though, it’s an anti-inflammatory and has been shown to reduce the appearance of sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles.
