Ultraflesh’s Panther Mascaras

How awesome are Ultraflesh’s Panthera Mascara in Black ($26) and Ultraflesh’s The Gold Standard Mascara ($26)? The gold version of the panther-capped mascara just launched and is it just me or do you guys also think that if Cartier were to design a mascara wand, this is what it would look like!? I’m seriously obsessed with it, but the best part is that it’s actually an effective wand with a great mascara formulation. The wand is similar to one of my faves, Bare Escentuals Flawless Definition Mascara ($18). The bristles are stiff with a lot of space in between them and the actual mascara doesn’t clump on the wand, rather it just coats it and that’s exactly the effect your lashes are left with. I’ve been using Gold Standard every day since I got it and have yet to have one annoying clump on my lashes. The formulation is great for definition and lengthening and it’s got a good, rich black pigmentation. A new favorite!

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. I’d like some opinions on colored mascaras….how do you choose the right color? Should you match or blend with your natural eye color or should you match to the eye makeup look you’re wearing?

  2. Stay tuned! In Oct. Givenchy is launching an awesome new one:) I don’t think you need to play matchy-matchy personally, but I do like it best when the color ties into either eye color or eye shadow color. I always wear black mascara as a base and if I feel like adding a little color to my look I’ll layer a colored one on top as a subtle extra little something:) Estee Lauder has some great colored mascaras that layer well.

  3. Where did you buy this mascara? I have been searching desperately to find it as it is my favorite mascara! Sephora no longer carries it and I really want to find it again if I can
