Trunki Boostapack: More Than Meets the Eye

trunki_boostapack.jpg

The same inventor of the clever Trunki Ride On Suitcase has now come up with the most ingenious invention to hit the car booster seat market ever. (Unfortunately, it is not yet available in the U.S., but more on that later).

The Trunki BoostApack is a booster and backpack all in one. The hardshell is a seat that also doubles as backpack storage. The straps of the backpack sit neatly and discreetly under the seat when in booster mode; unzip the top to reveal the seat, and fold out the armrests where the seat belt loops under. What a great idea! No more forgoing the booster just because of the extra hassle (especially since more and more states are making it a law for kids under 8 years old or 4 feet 9 inches tall to sit in a booster seat.

The BoostApack is ideal for all those situations other than the perfect day (which is never): it’s great to use in your second car, grandparents’ car, car pools, play dates – you get the idea! And since tots always carry a backpack anyway, having the booster readily available is a bonus right from the heavens! But, like I said, it is not available in the U.S., and trust me, I tried ordering from all the UK sites.

The Boostapack is £44.99 which is around $73; but the one company that will deliver to me costs $326 for shipping! So, that’s not an option. I will update when it is available in US.

  1. I saw this post and searched high and low for one and just ordered one off ebay of all places. With the exchange rate and shipping fees, I paid $128 total but still beats the $326 just for shipping! I’ll let you know what it’s like in real person once I receive it if you’d like. FYI: I did a search for “BoostApak” on ebay.
