Bare Escentuals bareMinerals READY Touch-Up Veil: Low Shine, Low Maintenance

Finally, bareMinerals powder for a quick on-the-go touch-up. I’m surprised it’s taken them this long to release a pressed version of their mineral veil. But if you want anything past simple shine control, don’t bother. Comparable to MAC’s Blot Powder, this is a non-makeup makeup, for girls who don’t want to look like they have a single thing on their face. And for girls who forget to put on sunscreen. It’s got SPF15, as well as their SeaNutritive Mineral Complex, which promises to rejuvenate your skin. I don’t know about that part, but it does reduce shine and that’s really all I care about when I’m running around during the day.

It comes in two options, Translucent and Tinted, which are self-explanatory: Translucent is meant to be crystal-clear (but use too much, and it can get a bit chalky) and Tinted is better for slightly darker complexions, like my own. The downside? Even though the packaging is matte and modern, the powdery scent is a bit on the “old-lady compact” side. At Sephora for $22.
