Valextra Isis iPad Clutch: My iPad, My Clutch

I’m so impressed with the innovative designers who are coming out with iPad cases that also moonlight as clutches! I thought Jason Wu had gotten it down with his metallic wristlet, but Valextra’s take actually comes with a shoulder strap, adjustable to wear cross-body. How brilliant! Now you can trek around town with your iPad in tow, 24/7. The catch for this strapped clutch: your gadget must be your number-one necessity. Sleek as can be, this envelope lacks room for much else (though there is an interior slip compartment). You can fit a slim card holder in there, as well as your iPad’s little sis, the iPhone.

Granted, spending $1,310, even for a clutch-and-shoulder bag-in-one is a bit nuts, right? Trick question! This is gorgeous, pristine Valextra – an impossibly easy decision! You will get so much more use than just for your favorite gadget. I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas, smaller than an iPad, so it will fit with room to spare. This might be a better option – I’m not that minimal. See, I’m already organizing my entire life around this bag! You don’t even have to ask which color I’ll get 😉 At Barneys New York for $1,310. But I’ll be looking for this in Florence and get the VAT back! Yes, we are leaving on a jet plane for the Firenze4Ever event hosted by Luisa Via Roma. Can’t wait!!

Pair with: I’m going to keep it simple with something smooth, natural, and deliciously Lanvin. Cork and whipstitching looks divine when it’s composed by Alber Elbaz. Rustic has never looked so glam. Lanvin Leather Cork Wedges, $1,545.
